Three weeks ago we took Maya to the apple orchard. It was HUGE and had a ton of activities for kids. I can't wait to take her there again when she's a little older. Little Lindsay had a blast.

Fall colors 2008 - Part I Greens of Broadmoor

Remember that lonely weekend I had when Maya was away? Well my neighbor was nice and took me around the Greens of Broadmoor on the golf cart on Saturday and Sunday he drove me to Gun Lake. He also bought me my first margarita since before I was pregnant. Thanks Vince!

CRAWLING!!!

I am back up and running! What's new? Maya is teething and crawling!!! I saw her crawl for the first time yesterday. This morning I took the camera to daycare and she did this....



If you heard whispering in the background, it was me. Watching her crawl like that for the first time was amazing. I love being a mommy! It's bringing me so much joy.

Update on the computer situation... I did lose some pictures/videos of Maya but it could have been much much worse. Fortunately, I've been pretty good at backing up my files. I lost 2 weeks of pictures and 2 months of videos. Brian tried to recover the harddrive, but it went up in smoke.

All Alone

Brian and Maya are gone for the weekend. They left last night. Brian is going to be racing and Maya is spending quality time with the grandparents. Sharon was nice to send me some pictures of what she's up too so far....

I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post later!

Sad news

I had a computer malfunction. I won't be able to post pictures for a week or two. The worst part is I may have lost quite a bit of pictures and videos. Come back in a week or two for updates.

More of Maya

A couple things have happened since I took these pictures. I now have an external flash, but I haven't even tried using it yet. I also realized I need to be using lower ISO settings outside. I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed with everything I want to learn. I wish there was more time in the day.

Love this profile shot. Her cheeks get bigger and bigger and are so pinchable.

Outside with dad. These are the pictures that I should have used my 50 mm prime and a lower ISO setting. I also read more about picture style settings and shooting in RAW. I'm dying to get sharper images with bold colors. I think using picture style settings or shooting in RAW will help me get more what I'm looking for.
